At this stage of the diploma students are knowledgeable in many aspects of sound theory, capturing sound with various microphones and microphone techniques as well as the basics of recording and mixing-down material. This provides a good foundation for students to move on to working with digital mixing consoles & control surfaces. This studio is equipped with a Digidesign D-Command, which can be found in many studios and post production houses around the world. The adjacent 4m x 6m live room provides an ideal environment for tracking drums, guitars, vocals or anything else the students desire. This studio also features an impressive rack of outboard processing.While using this studio students will have access to industry standard microphones such as Shure Beta 57 & 91, KSM 44 and the Rode NT2 condenser.
